Youtube VR / Edge finally works. Game/Software. I always got a black screen and 4 spinning balls when starting a Youtube VR video with Edge. I tried both the standard, Canary and Dev build. Since then I posted it on the Microsoft forum (that was in April) and the devs kept working on it.

I can see the headset icon to go into VR mode on the YouTube options under the video, and when I click on that WMR starts up and the headset goes from the Cliff House intoa black screen with 4 revolving white balls. I get sound, but no picture.

Jan 17, 2023 VR videos (youtube) not working in mixed reality with Reverb G2. Clicking on vr symbol on youtube website (MS edge in mixed reality) the Vr gets black with 4 loading revolving white balls. Nothing else loads. Got stucked there, I have to ctrl alt del to quit mixed reality and restart it.

Oct 29, 2022 after further investigation, when in VR (Cliffhouse), Edge running, switching input from VR to Desktop (Win-Y) then on a 360 video press the goggles or EnterVR it sometimes works. So, looks like even with recent changes in Google/Youtube the system is still working from their end. Wonder if SteamVR or WMR for SteamVR has something to do with it.

As the title says, I used to rely on edge's 360 viewer extension to watch vr180 videos off of YouTube, but for the past 2 months it seems to only play monoscopic 180. What's going on? Anybody else getting a similar issue?

Feb 3, 2023 For the spinning dots issue, the fix was you need to turn on hardware acceleration in the Edge, or it might be the other way around, I can't remember and can't check right now because Edge WMR VR playback seems to be broken in a completely different way for me now.

Oct 31, 2022 Haven't used Edge/youtube for 360 videos in a while (used to work) till recently, now after selecting the 360 video on the youtube page, pressing play, then the goggles icon and it throws me into VR to get started, BUT I get gray grid floor with a msg sign saying " the page isn't responding ".

If you installed the 360 degree viewer extension in Internet Explorer it gets included when you update to Microsoft Edge. The extension is available although I haven't used this for some time. 360 degree videos can also be viewed inside the Windows Mixed Reality portal.
