The Threshold Society is affiliated with the Mevlana Foundation, founded by Celalettin Celebi and recognized by UNESCO as the authentic representative of the Mevlevi tradition. Recently Threshold has been working to create a big tent for a broad collaboration to revive the transformative dimensions of Islamic spirituality.

The recognition is beginning to dawn that we are on the threshold (there's that word again) of a major change in human life. It's even being talked about on the evening news. Thirty years ago we might have thought that this change would come about through a revolution in consciousness.

Sufism is a spiritual path based on the principles expressed in the Holy Quran and embodied in the character of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Sufism is a practice and way of life in which a deeper identity is discovered and lived.
