Here, too, is where Sleeping Dogs stomps GTA 5 flat. I hope to see Rockstar make a truly better game than Sleeping Dogs someday (I dont want to be stuck in Hong Kong FOREVER). But it seems they would rather lean on their GTA logo and shock value than improve on, well, anything but graphics and map size. GTA 5 = One big, beautiful disappointment.

Posted October 3, 2013. Sleeping Dogs was a great game, with a amazing story, but it was way too short, and after you've beaten the story, there's nothing to do. The world is too small. Most of the map is gated, which means you couldn't explore much of the beautiful city's mountains.

The combat also continues to feel barely there, and requires little effort or skill. Unlike Sleeping Dogs -which cribbed from Arkham Asylum - you feel like your actually engaged in a fight. Thankfully, GTA 'stealing' from its own Max Payne game makes the other shooting mechanics present and accounted for.

Aug 2, 2013 Having stated that, Sleeping Dogs runs beautifully - better than GTA - and with arguably better graphics. The game itself is easily on par with GTA, but they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I liked the story in Sleeping Dogs better than GTA4.

Sleeping Dogs could have done better explaining the whole gang situation. It confused me through the storyline why I was fighting my own gang. I had to look it up afterwards. But Sleeping Dogs really delivered what was promised. It was a Kung Fu game with lots a Kung Fu. GTA is great game, but for being a heist game, it has very little heists.

GTAV. It's classic GTA mayhem with the amazing storytelling they developed for GTA4. GTAO is a blast with friends that you can sink hundreds of hours into and continuously gets free content. Sleeping Dogs is a good game and worth playing, but I'd wait until it's more like $20-$30. assbread.

Sleeping Dogs is a better game than GTA V Sure, GTA looks pretty but that's about it. The combat, driving, upgrades, clothing options, story, map etc are all significantly better in Sleeping Dogs.
