I've been playing dragon city for a month now its beginning to get tough. I levelled up so much on the quest missions on puzzle events.

Pro tip: If you have the patience, you can start a legendary rescue for 5 keys, collect 25 orbs and stop before opening the 1st door. After 7 days that rescue 'fails' and you can repeat that cycle of 5 keys>>25 leg orbs indefinitely. Keys needed for each rarity (dragon selection + 2 doors to open): Common: 10.

i think best advice i can give you is spend your gem on breeding sanctuaries and islands. Edit: and upgrading hatchery. I started 5-6 (?) days ago too and currently at lv25. As a new player myself im focusing on heroic race. If you are lucky enough, you may match up with afks and win easily.
